In the song "People of the Sun", Tom Morello puts a new spin on an
old trick. He plays heavy slide guitar in the tune to create droning
single note riffs. However, instead of a usual brass or silver slide,
he uses an allen wrench. This creates a dissonant, scratchy tone. Try
it with heavy distortion to get the desired tone.
